On October 8, the San Francisco 49ers played the Indianapolis Colts and among the crowd were Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen.
Eager to cheer his hometown team, Pence tweeted out “Looking forward to cheering for our @Colts & honoring the great career of #18 Peyton Manning at @LucasOilStadium today. Go Colts!”
When the national anthem was played, however, Pence saw several 49ers players kneeling and after the musical tribute to this nation, Pence and his wife left the stadium in disgust. He tweeted, “I left today’s Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.”
The reaction from the Left was filled with hysteria.
Obviously taking his cue from Dumbocrat Adam Schiff-head, Rodger Sherman reworded the screed from his liberal puppet master, saying,“gotta wonder how much it cost to secure an NFL stadium for a sitting Vice President so he could prove a point by walking out early.”
Gee, Sherman, were you at all concerned about how much it cost taxpayers to pay for police overtime when black supremacist agitators blocked freeways in part to fulfill the master scheme of an old, white male billionaire?
Tim O’Brien, an Establishment censor at Bloomberg News disguised as an editor, tweeted out, “Translation: ‘I don’t really think that everyone is entitled to their own opinions.’”
While incredibly stupid, these comments pale when compared to the hatred expressed by Dumbocrap pollster (propagandist) Will Jordan who posted, “Interesting how Pence’s statements have taken on Trump’s twitter tick of capitalizing things like ‘flag’.”
The Conservative Fighters reports that Pence blasted his critics when he issued a later statement via Twitter that read, “I left today’s Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem. At a time when so many Americans are inspiring our nation with their courage, resolve, and resilience, now, more than ever, we should rally around our Flag and everything that unites us. While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don’t think it’s too much to ask NFL players to respect the Flag and our National Anthem. I stand with President Trump, I stand with our soldiers, and I will always stand for our Flag and our National Anthem.”
The insanity of the Left is boundless. If their rhetoric continues unchecked, it will surely encourage more bouts of violence like that carried out by James Hodgkinson and Stephen Craig Paddock.
Pence was right to highlight the merits of what he did and Americans nee to stand with him.
