Throughout the eight years Barack and Michelle Obama lived in the White House, CNN defended them at all costs and constantly portrayed them in a positive light. That’s why it came as a massive shock to them this week when CNN turned on them in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein sex scandal.
Breitbart reported that the Obamas waited a staggering five days to condemn Weinstein, a close personal friend of there’s who was a top donor to Barack’s campaigns, despite the fact that numerous claims of rape and sexual harassment came to light. On Tuesday, CNN reporter Dana Bash slammed the Obamas for not speaking out against Weinstein sooner.
“You broke the news about Hillary Clinton finally putting out a statement condemning his behavior and distancing herself,” Bash told host Wolf Blitzer. “The question is whether or not she is going to help gather the $1.4 million that he, as what’s known has bundler, helped her campaign over the years.”
“The other question is where are the Obamas?” she asked. “Where is Michelle Obama? Where is President Obama? He is and probably still is a big supporter of him and his political efforts. And just let’s just pretend the shoe was on the other foot and this was a Republican, somebody who is in Hollywood who is a Republican alleged to have done these things and gave to Republican presidents. Can you imagine the outrage if they weren’t condemning this behavior? I mean, it makes no sense at all that they are not coming out and saying something. Never mind the question of the donations.”
We never thought we’d see the day where CNN is bashing the Obamas!
